Raising awareness and understanding of dyslexia

Join us in creating a world where dyslexia is understood, accommodated, and celebrated. Together, we can break the barriers and transform lives.

About Us

The Michigan Branch of the International Dyslexia Association was founded in 1976 by Sister Anna Cryan of Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, MI, who sought training after struggling to teach reading to two children in the mid-1960s. Since then, the branch has sponsored conferences, served as a resource for information about dyslexia, recognized achievements, and offered support for dyslexic students and families in Michigan.
